  • Incognito: Familiar Faces, Hot New Talent, An Action Story That’s Just Getting Started

    So, I finally got to see the trailer for ABS-CBN’s new action-packed series, Incognito, and let me tell you, it’s got me hooked! I’ve been searching for new Filipino TV series to watch for a while now, and the trailer definitely didn’t disappoint.

    Right off the bat, the action is intense. We’re talking high-stakes missions, explosions, and some seriously impressive fight scenes. I’m already getting hyped just thinking about it! The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the diverse cast, there’s some foreign talents and locations are outside the country too, and I’m excited to see how their characters will interact and develop throughout the series.

    A Cast Of Familiar Faces And Then There’s Maris Racal

    Okay, so I checked out the cast for Incognito, and I’m kinda feeling old. I only recognized a few faces, and it’s probably because I haven’t really been watching Filipino TV series since college. I saw Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Raymond Bagatsing, Eddie Gutierrez, and Baron Geisler. They’re all familiar, but I can’t remember what shows they were in. It’s been a long time!

    I’m curious to see how they all work together in this series. It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of characters they’re playing and how their roles will develop. I’m hoping it’s a good one.

    But then, I saw Maris Racal. I’d never heard of her before, but there’s a scene in the trailer where she’s wearing some really revealing and sexy clothes. I got to admit, that got my attention! I did a quick search on her, and it turns out she’s a pretty hot Filipina celeb. I’m definitely interested to see what she’s all about in the series.

    I did not forget searching about her on YouTube, and it seems like she’s been involved in some cheating scandals. I’m not sure what the whole story is, but it definitely adds another layer of intrigue to her character. I’m curious to see how her past might play out in the series. Maybe she’ll be the one to bring some drama to the show.

    Stunning Visuals But The VFX Needs Work

    I’ve been reminiscing about Filipino TV series from back in the day. I’m not sure if it’s just nostalgia talking, but I remember a lot of them being…well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly visually stunning. But things have changed! Now, shows like Incognito are definitely more “eye candy,” with higher production values and a more polished look. It’s like they’ve finally caught up with the rest of the world in terms of visual quality.

    However, there’s one thing that still bugs me: the VFX. I’m not sure if it’s the budget or the lack of skilled artists, but the CGI in Incognito just looks…off. It’s really obvious it’s CGI, and it takes me out of the moment. For example, the sparks the bullet colliding with metal, the dirt flying from bullet ricochets, the muzzle flashes, and the gun smoke all look very artificial. It’s like they’re trying to create these epic action sequences, but the VFX just isn’t convincing enough. I hope they’ll put more effort into making these effects look more seamless. It would really elevate the show to a whole new level.

    Expect A Filipino Love Story Beyond The Action

    The trailer also hints at a deeper story beyond the action. There’s a sense of mystery and intrigue, and I’m curious to learn more about the characters’ backstories and motivations. I’m also intrigued by the themes of redemption and resilience, which seem to be at the heart of the series.

    Now, since this is a Filipino series, I’m making a prediction that along the way there will be some serious “love” drama. Filipinos love their love stories, and I’m betting Incognito will deliver. We’re probably looking at love triangles, maybe some cheating, and definitely some relationship issues. It’s all part of the Filipino telenovela experience.

    And let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good love story? It adds another layer of complexity to the characters and their motivations. Maybe one of the characters is trying to redeem themselves through love, or maybe they’re finding strength and resilience in the face of heartbreak. Whatever it is, I’m sure it will be a juicy storyline that keeps Filipinos hooked. I’m already picturing all the dramatic confrontations, tearful confessions, and passionate kisses. Very typical of every Filipino screenwriter.

    To See Is To Believe

    I’m a big fan of action series, and Incognito looks like it’s going to be a real game-changer. The trailer has me hooked, and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds. I’m especially excited to see how the cast brings their characters to life, the action scenes looked intense so I’m assuming they had training or have been practicing for months to prepare for their roles.

    Incognito is definitely on my watchlist, and I’m counting how many episodes I need to catch up if I’m impressed beyond what the trailer showcases. If you’re a fan of action and drama, then you definitely need to check out the trailer for Incognito. I’m skeptical but let’s see!

  • Luffy Gear 5 vs Awakened Zoan Lucci: Epic Round 2 Anime Fight Was Spectacular!

    The fight between Luffy in Gear 5 and Awakened Lucci was something else. I remember watching it and being blown away by the animation. The way they animated Luffy’s rubbery movements and Lucci’s powerful strikes was just incredible. It was a real visual treat, and it made the fight feel so much more intense.

    Okay, so Gear 5 Luffy’s animation? Seriously impressive. I mean, I’ve been watching anime since high school – I’m in my mid-thirties now – and that was next-level stuff. The way they handled the rubbery physics, the crazy stretches and contortions… it totally channeled that classic cartoon energy, you know? Like, Bugs Bunny meets Goku, with a dash of Disney thrown in for good measure. His expressions were fantastic, too – big eyes, goofy grins, the whole nine yards. It was perfectly over-the-top without being cheesy.

    The animation itself was just so smooth and dynamic. It wasn’t just about the crazy poses; the way they flowed together was amazing. It felt like they really understood how to make those exaggerated movements look both powerful and playful at the same time. It was a really smart blend of styles, and it totally worked. Definitely one of the best animated fight sequences I’ve seen in a long time.

    Lucci’s awakened form was terrifying.  He was faster and stronger than ever before, his attacks brutal and devastating.  But what struck me was his movement.  CP9’s signature “Shave” (Soru) technique was all about instantaneous bursts of speed, a series of rapid-fire movements.  Yet, Lucci’s speed in his awakened form was different.  It wasn’t a series of steps; it was a continuous, almost animalistic flow of motion. He moved with the fluid grace of a predator, a blur of motion that made his attacks even more unpredictable and deadly.  I wondered why he abandoned the precise, controlled movements of Shave in favor of this more primal, powerful speed.

    The fight was a brutal back-and-forth, a relentless exchange of devastating blows showcasing the raw power of both awakened forms.  While Lucci’s enhanced speed and strength made him a formidable opponent, it was clear that even in his awakened state, he was ultimately outmatched by Gear 5 Luffy.  His new, animalistic fighting style, a stark contrast to his precise CP9 techniques, was impressive, but it couldn’t overcome the sheer overwhelming power and versatility of Luffy’s transformation.  The fight, though intense, never felt truly even; Luffy’s dominance was evident despite Lucci’s best efforts.

    Missing The Old Toei Animation Art Style

    Looking back, the older One Piece animation style had a certain charm, almost like a children’s storybook brought to life. It felt grounded and relatable, perhaps because that was the target demographic back then—and many of us long-time fans were children when we first started watching. The detailed character designs and subtle expressions were lovely, adding a layer of depth that resonated with us. But times change, and the series needs to adapt to keep up with the tastes of a new generation of viewers. The older, more simplistic style, while nostalgic, might not have the same appeal for younger audiences used to the more dynamic and high-octane animation styles prevalent today.

    This shift in animation style isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s also a reflection of how the series is evolving to keep up with newer generations. Today’s audience is accustomed to high-energy visuals and fast-paced action, and the new style delivers exactly that. It captures the imagination of younger fans who are just diving into One Piece while also appealing to those of us who have been around for years, reminding us of why we fell in love with the series in the first place. While I appreciate the nostalgia of the old animation, I can see how this modern approach has become necessary to attract and engage a broader audience, keeping One Piece relevant and exciting in an ever-evolving anime landscape.

    The Strawhat Pirates Will Set Sail Once Again This April 2025

    The Gear 5 Luffy vs. Awakened Lucci fight was definitely a highlight of the Egghead Arc. It was a visual spectacle, showcasing the incredible artistry and dedication of the animators. Seeing Luffy’s Gear 5 in action, with that wild, rubbery energy, was pretty cool. And Lucci, even in defeat, was a formidable opponent. His awakened form was a terrifying display of power and speed. The fight was a great showcase of both their journeys and their rivalry. It was a reminder of how much they’ve both grown and how much power they both possess. It’s a moment I’ll definitely remember, a highlight in the long and epic saga of One Piece. It’s more than just a great fight; it’s a piece of anime history.

    And speaking of epic, the wait for the return of One Piece is almost over! After a six-month hiatus, the anime is set to return in April 2025! The creators have taken this time to recharge and revamp the production, promising a return to the Egghead Arc with even more stunning visuals and exciting action. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us, and I’m sure the return of One Piece will be one of the biggest anime events of 2025! Get ready to set sail again, fellow fans, because the adventure continues!

  • Step-Back and Watch: Luka Doncic’s Unstoppable Rise

    Okay, so I’m trying to get back into basketball. It’s been a while, and I’m basically starting from scratch. I’m scrolling through social media, and suddenly, this guy Luka Doncic is everywhere. He’s on every highlight reel, every basketball meme, and even trending on Google. I’m like, “Who is this guy?” Turns out, he’s a basketball player who was just traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the LA Lakers, and from what I’ve seen, he’s absolutely incredible. I’m not sure how I missed him before, but I’m definitely hooked now. I’m starting to think this whole “rediscovering basketball” thing might be a lot more fun than I expected.

    To be honest, this Luka Doncic highlight reel is the only NBA basketball video of his I’ve seen this year. I’d heard his name mentioned, so I decided to see what the fuss was about. It was so good, it made me want to watch more. This highlight video of his is very impressive. He’s got a really cool move called step-back jumper, which I’d never even heard of before, and it seems to be very effective. I’m definitely going to have to watch more of his games. It’s given me a good starting point for getting back into the sport. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Luka Doncic’s game. I’m going to have to look up what a step-back jumper is. It sounds like a really cool move.

    You Won’t Believe How Much Money Luka Doncic is Making!

    It turns out Luka Doncic is making a lot of money. I knew he was a big deal, but I didn’t realize just how much he was earning. He signed a huge contract with the Mavericks for $207 million, and that was just the extension! Apparently, he’s one of the highest-paid players in the NBA. But it’s not just his salary. He also has a bunch of endorsement deals with brands like Nike and Beats by Dre. And he’s even got some investments. It’s crazy to think how much money he’s making, but he’s definitely earned it. He’s a super talented player, and he’s only going to get bigger and better. I guess it’s good to be Luka Doncic!

    So, that’s my introduction to Luka Doncic. I’m still learning, but I’m excited to see what he can do. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the drink was refreshing. It was a pretty satisfying meal, honestly. The best option if you’re in a quick lunch break and a tasty treat before going back to work, give this Jollibee combo a try!

    My Thoughts On The Crunchy Fried Chicken Fillet

    My take on Jollibee’s Crunchy Chicken Fillet? Oh, the crunch. That’s the best part, undeniably. The breading is perfectly crisp, shattering beautifully with each bite. But… the promised juiciness? That’s where it falls short. It’s dry, actually, and I suspect it’s because the chicken itself isn’t that fresh. I know, I know, it’s fast food – I get that. But still, that crispy exterior is almost cruelly deceptive, teasing you with the promise of a juicy bite that never quite arrives. It makes me wonder about the whole fast-food process, honestly. The crunch is addictive, but the dryness is a letdown.

    I was expecting to have many slices of tomato and lettuce…but I got a piece of each? Come on Jollibee! Give us more healthier options for our food. Don’t be stingy when it comes to fruits and vegetables. 😤

    But honestly, the mayo, lettuce, and tomato were so juicy and fresh that it kind of made up for it. It all worked together pretty well; the crunchy chicken with the juicy veggies and creamy mayo. It wasn’t the juiciest chicken ever, but the whole sandwich was still pretty good.

    How About Jollibee French Fries And Drinks?

    I ordered the regular-sized fries and Coke Zero to go with my Jollibee sandwich. The fries were perfectly crisp, with a fluffy interior and just the right amount of salt; they were a really satisfying side. The Coke Zero was ice-cold and fizzy, offering a refreshing contrast to the richness of the sandwich. Everything was a regular size, which was just the right amount of food for me. It wasn’t too much, and it wasn’t too little. The whole meal was simple but very satisfying. I’d definitely order it again. It hit the spot perfectly.

    So, the Jollibee Crunchy Chicken Sandwich combo with fries and a drink was ₱125. I decided to splurge and add extra lettuce and tomato for an extra ₱20, bringing the total to ₱145. It was a little more expensive, but the extra veggies made it taste even better.

    The food was great, but I also wanted to say that the staff were really nice. The cashier was friendly, and everyone seemed happy to help. That made the whole experience even better.

    Thanks to the Jollibee crew for the good food and the awesome service! I’ll be back.

    What Does Jollibee Jolly Spaghetti Taste Like?

    One of my favorite meals in the Jollibee menu as a child is the Jolly Spaghetti. Their ingredients just has something that not even home-made Filipino spaghettis can match. I’ve eaten a lot of spaghettis from other fast-food but nothing can compare to my all time favorite.

    The presentation of the spaghetti isn’t like a 5-star restaurant but it’s the flavor that matters the most. Oh yeah, don’t forget to mix the spaghetti well with the banana ketchup sauce and bits of meaty Jolly Hotdog.

    What Does Jollibee Yumburger Taste Like?

    The Yumburger is something I would consider as a snack rather than a meal that would get me satisfied. It’s not big enough to get my stomach full. It’s better as a side-dish if you’re looking for something that makes you feel full.

    The burger is very dry since it’s not cooked really fresh when served to you and that’s what you get with fast-food service. What brings this Yumburger to life is not the bun nor the burger patty but their “special dressing”. Honestly, it’s just the sweet sauce that makes it taste good. The buns and burger patty is just bland.

    The Yumburger is for people who are in a hurry for a quick snack. I’m sorry Jollibee, you have been my childhood favorite but it’s just not for me. Overall, the Yumburger is my least recommended food in the Jollibee menu.

    For the taste, you will feel the sourness at first few munches but when the sauce and cheese starts to mix in your mouth and a few moments later the sweetness start setting in. The hotdog meat is there to add chunkiness to the very soft texture of the spaghetti, cheese, and sauce. The hotdog also adds a cleanse or reset to your palate because of how sweet the Jolly Spaghetti is. Also, the pasta strands are short and that makes it easy to pick up food using your fork to enjoy more servings.

    The price of ₱133 cheap and just right for this meal. Well one thing for sure you should take note is pricing of Jollibee meals is different depending on your location. Was I satisfied with this meal? For sure, I was satisfied because of wanting to maintain my body weight but for something that would make me eat for pleasure I’d definitely want more from the Jollibee menu.

Goldilocks Bakeshop released their Coffee Layered Crunch of which is a premium cake with layers and layers of sweet goodness that you’ll surely crave for more. This cake was released on June 2024 so it’s fairly a new addition to the Goldilocks Menu.

    Coffee Mousse And Mocha Chiffon That Wakes You Up

    The first layer is a really thick layer of coffee mousse that’s covered in thin crust of crunchy caramelized crushed cashews or you can just call it cashew praline and mocha chiffon cake. That’s right! It’s so soft, very creamy, and taste the bitterness of caffeine that instantly makes you feel alert. The bitterness after a few bites and chews gets washed away by the sweet caramel and peanut crunch.

    The bottom layers consist of thick whipped cream and brownies. There’s also a crunchy layer of cashew praline on top of the whipped cream. When I took a single bite, it’s one of the best sensations of sweetness I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. The texture feels like a soft fluffy cloud of sugar with fudgy and chewy chocolate cake underneath.

    Ordering online through the Goldilocks Delivery website will cost you ₱817 while buying in this physical cake shop costs only ₱710. If you order online with Foodpanda or Grab Food it will be priced the same at ₱817. Why the huge difference? Possibly because of delivery fee. Even in food apps they might indicate having a ‘free delivery’ promo, the price of ₱817 is already included with the delivery fee.

    The size XL jacket fits well off the rack and that’s what I like about it. I’m sure Uniqlo has many sizes for everyone as they have product lines from children to adults. Since the cut of the Miracle Air Jacket is lose, mobility is very comfortable. Movement is very easy as it isn’t tight at all when flexing. It even feels lightweight because it’s thin fabric and it feels breathable.

    Material is made out of 100% polyester from the jacket, lining, and pocket lining. Polyester is synthetic fiber made from plastic material that’s somehow feels cotton-like but has notable differences where polyester is smooth and glossy but real cotton feels soft and breathable.

    I’ve tested the pockets by using my phone and a pen. Everything fits well in place and doesn’t jiggle around when moving. Stitching is good but in my case there’s just one thread out of place that can be fixed with one snip from a scissor.

    Only worn this one time for our company Christmas party but the quality seems very high despite being cheaper compared to other brands. It feels durable enough even when worn once that you get a feeling this Miracle Air Jacket will last for years to come when you take care of it properly.

The Navy color must not have sold a lot but I prefer it over the Black and Gray colors. Do you want to know why? When their Black jacket is in the light, it looks closer to Gray. In fact, the Navy color is darker than the black itself when exposed to warm light.

    Walking around shopping in SM Seaside City Cebu isn’t easy. It’s tiring strolling through this massive infrastructure of a mall. So what’s the best thing to do after a whole afternoon of window shopping marathon? It’s to eat dinner at Zark’s Burgers. There’s lots of things to choose from the menu but what caught my eye is the Grilled Cheeseburger Meal.

    Price Of Grilled Cheeseburger Meal Costs ₱ 364

    When this order was served at my table, at first you might think it’s a pancake because it looks like one, but no. It’s actually is a smashed burger buns cooked flat until crispy as it’s how cheeseburgers are prepared. They don’t cook this in a charcoal grill as there are no signs of burn marks from grill patterns but they’re using a flat top grill.

    There are two options you can order this in their menu. You can either choose Solo which you only get the Cheeseburger for a price of ₱ 279 or upgrade to a meal for an additional ₱ 85.

    What I got from the upgrade was Regular Size Side and Drink. If you look at the picture above, my drink was a Blue Lemonade and some French Fries but totally forgot what I chose. To the fans of Zark’s Burgers; can you help me which one I got if you can recognize them. It could be either Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream, Texas BBQ, and Truffle based on their menu or I could’ve been served ordinary fries. You also get a box of plastic hand gloves so you won’t get your hands dirty which is good customer service.

    What’s Inside The Grilled Cheeseburger?

    It tastes so good! What you’re seeing here is smashed burger buns, burger patty, and cheddar cheese. I love a bit of crisp on the burnt burger buns ’cause it adds texture. The buns are smashed flat like a pancake which makes it easy to eat unlike big whopper hamburgers where you have to open your mouth wide to get a bite. After having a few bites and savoring the flavors of the burger, the melty cheese gives a good creamy, gooey, and smooth sensation that complements the patty but…something felt peculiar within. Something very familiar yet rarely seen in many of the burgers I’ve tried in my entire life.

    I thought that my imagination might be playing with me. It was indeed cheesy but there was some spiciness to it. I got curious and opened the other half of the cheeseburger and what came upon me was bits of jalapeños swimming in melted cheese. I love it because I’m into spicy foods!
